Meet Lizzy

I've had two blogs for awhile now. I am thinking I'll just combine the two now. Why not? I don't know why I ever had them separate. Anyway, this is the first of my many summer sewing projects. Yes, I know it's October....thank you very much! Yet another reason to combine my two blogs.

My very good friend Amy had her second child, first girl, this past summer. I was late getting a gift to her because I just couldn't think that anything I could make would be nifty enough for this little girl. Amy is so pretty, very stylish and has the cutest ideas on things! She is always dressed to a T - but in the neatest way. SO not me - my boring self just can't get there.

Anyway, about a month after E was born, Amy sent me a website with a handmade owl on it. It was very cute so I decided to try my hand at making one myself. Here's what I made:

And, of course a female chick needs ruffles, right?

And, the baby needs a matching bubble, correct?

I LOVE babies in bubbles!
