34 Weeks

So I got a nasty email from an unnamed source earlier today. Apparently I've been napping for the past few weeks. So, here's the post for today. I MIGHT post again tomorrow or the next day...I need to!

I've attached a 34 week photo from this past weekend. Also, our dear, dear friends from Birmingham threw Troy a baby shower the weekend before last and it was so wonderful! I've posted photos from that as well. We never realized how blessed we have been with such caring and loving friends. Thanks guys!!! We had a wonderful time - and thanks to Ginger for taking pictures!!! Troy also had another shower thrown for him this past weekend...those photos are soon to come :o)

On another note, I was in Hobby Lobby yesterday and guess what is out ALREADY? Uh hum...CHRISTMAS DECORATIONS!!! In July?!?!?! I mean, I've heard of Christmas in July but not at a retail store! I mean, full fledged wreaths, bows, ornaments, etc. Now, I thought this was a crazy idea until I had a dream last night that I bought some large wreaths for our house. I bought some from Caffco last year but they are a bit too small for what I wanted. Who knows, maybe my dream was a sign to buy new ones? I was very proud of myself in that dream!

Hope everyone is having a great week. I am - I've been tired after the weekend's festivities but still feeling good!

32 Weeks and Ft. Walton Shower

So we had an eventful weekend! Brian's parents' friends threw a wonderful brunch shower for Troy on Saturday. The table decorations were so adorable - each table was decorated with flowers and a toy for Troy - a football, baseball glove, water toys, dump truck and a large flower arrangement. It was so wonderful! Thanks so much to Mrs. Hamilton, Alligood, Ross and Cannon!!! I've got a slide photo below. There are a couple of outfits I made the boy also. You'll see a bonnett as well. I'm not sure it'll even fit him, we'll have to see...I learned some new handwork and well, there's not a whole lot you can do for a boy that looks real masculine. So, he'll be getting a bonnet from his mama!

32 Weeks!!!

OMG, look at my belly! If you're wondering, yes, I've been exercising still. Yoga this morning was HARD - our instructor got back from training this weekend and decided to try out some new tricks on us. I'm the only pregnant one so I get a few "alternate" moves I can use. Today I was very glad because some of the things I can't do - not good for pregnancy - poor people who aren't pregnant! I can still run - or jog, I should say. I'm slow (not quite to a walk yet), still biking (on a stationary bike), elliptical, swimming, weights. Someone asked me about my belly jiggling - he, he, he. You would think that would be the only thing, right? Well, it doesn't. Strange; but I do use a super duper support brace made for pregnant ladies. It helps me with my posture and holds my stomach in place and is super comfortable. I want to wear it all the time but it's sort of bulky. If you see me one day with a bulky thing around my stomach, don't stare, it's just my support belt.

Brian's in Denver this week. I tend to watch tv shows that I probably should not be watching - do any of you? Well, I like MTV - it's my sin channel for sure. I don't watch it often because I get convicted but occasionally the channels make it up that high. I don't watch everything but I just turned it on and Paris Hilton still has a show about becoming her BFF. What the heck? Didn't she have a BFF show like 2 years ago? What is up with this? What happened to her old BFF?

We're heading to Birmingham this weekend for a baby shower. We are SO excited. We miss it there, but of course we love it in Auburn, too. It'll be wonderful seeing our friends...it's been a while. So, I should be updating the blog next week also.

30 Weeks

Quick post. Yeah, I'm late...again. Oh well, better late than never. If you're wondering, yes, things are still going really great. I'm still staying active, thank goodness, and feel that it's probably the reason why I feel so great. OMG, how my stomach has ballooned!! It's so fun to feel little Troy moving around, I can tell I'll miss that later on. I'm grateful for these good days.
Along with the good days has come busy work, I mean B-U-S-Y! I don't talk about my job much but I'll say that I absolutely love it. I've got that song, "She works hard for the money" ringing in my head. Boy, it feels that way lately but I'm super, super grateful for what I have now. At least I can work late at night and can be at home while working. If I had to be in an office writing reports, I'd feel much differently. Thank you Lord!!

Here's a member of our family, Abbie - I've never introduced her before but she's been with us for almost 9 years. We're interested to see how she will react to our little addition coming to the family. Of all things, we're praying she's either scared of him or nice to him. Only time will tell. She's a very needy cat and adores me, probably too much!

Hope you all have a wonderful 4th of July weekend. Thank the Lord for today being the last day of this work week! Yay!

Also, my mother came last weekend and we got all of the "stuff" we need for Troy's Christening gown. I can hardly wait to start on it...yep, still need to start on it but my mother is going to help. Hallelujah!
